Ramblings
The Christmas letters are stamped and ready to go and the last line says "Check out my blog!" I'm now obligated to update it. My thoughts are jumbled right now so I'm just going to type what I'm thinking. It's been a very stressful month. Everyone's been sick except for me. Even Mike got sick and I had to get a babysitter while I went to work because he couldn't get out of bed. I paid the sitter exactly what I made. Then when I got home he had a ton of praise for the sitter. "She's so good with the kids, she just redirects them and they do what she says. Not at all like when you're home." Was that an insult?
We had Thanksgiving at our house for the first time this year. Meme and Poppa and Aunt B., Uncle Schim and the cousins came up. "Aunt Evelyn and Uncle Bill" came over for Thanksgiving dinner as well. I used my Great Grandma Bess' china for the first time. The meal was fantastic and I think everyone had a good time. Mike flew out to Minnesota the day after Thanksgiving to see Sam and Jake. Sam was in the Ms. Minnesota pageant so he got to see her all dressed up. We're waiting for the picture cd to come in the mail and then I'll post some pictures.
I did get a new camera finally but I haven't taken it out of the box yet. Everytime I try to I have a mass of little hands grabbing all around me.
Mike has been traveling a TON! When he's out of town I've resorted to making quick trips to 7-11 or Walgreen's for milk, butter etc. because Tori is just a nightmare to take anywhere. She runs off every chance she gets. Not to mention there's always the fear she's going to poop her pants in public which happened 2 days at Rack Room shoes. I had to change her in the men's room with no baby wipes. Yuck!
Mike leaves town again tomorrow so this is what the next 4 days will look like. Tuesday: Maddie to school, Ryan to school, letters to post office, pick up Maddie and Griffin from school, babysit Griffin until 6pm, take kids to neighborhood clubhouse for pictures with Santa (last year we stood in line over an hour at the Santa visit), bed. Weds, drop Maddie at Griffin's, drop Tori at drop in day care, take Ryan to school and chaperone his class field trip to the "North Pole", pick up Tori, pick up Maddie, dinner, start to clean house for weekend guests. Thursday, Maddie to school, Ryan to school, make cookies for cookie swap and MOPS table, babysitter comes at 6pm, go to cookie swap and Premier jewelry party, home, clean house some more. Go to store to buy drinks for MOPS the next morning. Mike comes home after 10pm. Friday, MOPS, take teacher gifts for childcare, take cookies for my table. 1:30pm, my brother, sister-in-law and nephew fly in from Alaska. I completely forgot I have to go to the store somewhere in there to get Tori's bday present and a gift for my MOPS gift exchange too. Tori turns 2 on Sunday. We're having a family party Saturday with my brother and sister-in-law. I still haven't even gotten her a baby book. sigh......................
