Maddie's first day of school was last week. I was really nervous because she is going to a new school this year but she really loved it! She is in the pre-k "Bridge" class for kids who turned 5 over the summer but are not starting kindergarten until next year. She's not 5 yet but she's almost there. There are only 8 kids in her class and one teacher. I love the philosophy of her new school. It centers around the kids making their own choices and planning out their day themselves. Tori is really upset that she doesn't go to school yet. She carries her backpack with her every day both at drop off and pick up and gets mad when she can't hang it on a hook in the hallway like Maddie and go into a classroom. She actually started crying once because she couldn't reach the hook to hang her backpack. One of my neighbors is going to this school too so we are going to start car pooling this week. It will make things a lot easier because the school is 20 minutes from our house.
Tori started swim lessons 2 weeks ago. She goes once a week for 4 months. I haven't seen much yet but she did blow bubbles in the bath the other night so she's learning something!
