Family train ride to the city

Today we rode the train into the city. Unfortunately on the weekends they don't have express trains so it took an hour to get there. Our first stop was at Mike's work, to see his office. We got off the train at Union Station and his office is right across the street. It was very cool. The kids wrote on the dry erase board in his cubicle and he took us on a grand tour. One floor has a bar, (yes a real bar), with air hockey, Wii, tvs etc.

Next we went to Giordano's restaurant for Chicago stuffed pizza and the Cowboys game. Our lunch was DELICIOUS! We left at halftime to go up in the Willis Tower (formerly the Sears tower). They told us we would be at the top in an hour. After almost 2 hours we were still waiting in line. Try standing in line with 3 kids, 5 coats and a box of leftover pizza. Good thing Grandma is still here to help out. The kids did relatively well. Everytime we thought we were through the line, another one began. We stood in line to buy tickets, then to watch the movie, then to get on the first elevator, then the 2nd elevator and so on. Mike, Grandma and Tori stayed on the 99th floor while I took the twins to the 103rd floor to see glass floor. They have 4 cubes built hanging out of the building over the street so you can stand on it and see the street below you. Super cool but eerie!!

Can't wait for people to start visiting so we can do all the tourist stuff!!
